Candied rot came about as an experiment playing on the strange & borderline gross. It also began with a question: how strange can something get before it gives life to itself all over again?
Nothing is perfect, least of all humanity. We spend so much lifetimne polishing away percieved imperfection yet humanity has always been attracted ot the bruised, forgotten, & things that linger just beyond the prime. Rot is treated as the antithetsis to sweetness, but we all know that isnt true, infact the opposite stands true.
Candied Rot is an ode to wonderfully sweet contradiction--a perfume inspired by the strange fermented into beautiful yet grotesque indulgence. It asks you to fidnelegance where others would miss it. And wonder whether sweeter things are sometimes those that refuse to stay fresh or perfect.
